R-Value – or thermal resistance – is one of several factors that contributes to the “thermal envelope” of the building. Besides maintaining its R-value over a wide density range, cellulose insulation also maintains R-value under cold conditions. While R-value is important, other factors are significant in determining the thermal performance of buildings.

Performance value refers to Climatizer Plus’s ability to offer greater performance than other fibrous insulation. Its performance value has been adjusted for the detrimental effects of air leakage and moisture accumulation.
